Spectacle lenses specifically engineered for safer driving
Driving in challenging conditions such as mist or rain and driving at dusk or in low light can be difficult for many people. ZEISS DriveSafe lenses are specifically designed to meet the needs of people who want to feel safer with their everyday driving. Three features have been incorporated into ZEISS Drivesafe lenses that specifically address driver safety.
ZEISS DriveSafe lenses have up to 43% wider mid-distance zone to make focussing between the dashboard and mirrors significantly easier. The distance zone is also up to 14% wider to improve scanning on across the road. The glare from ongoing headlights, particularly LED and Xenon HID lights on modern vehicles, has been significantly reduced by filtering out the visible wavelengths of light that people percieve as glare. Finally, ZEISS have incorporated LUMINANCE DesignTechnologyTM into the lenses, whereby the optical zones are optimised for pupil sizes in low light conditions, enhancing visual clarity in low light.
